Brief History : The old chapel of St. John de Britto built at Sathyamangalam by Fr Mc Carron in 1868 was repaired and extended by Fr. F.M Savarimuthu, the future Bishop of Coimbatore in 1938. On May 29th 1938, it was blessed by the Vicar Capitular Fr. L. Bechu in the presence of several priests and faithful.
