Brief History : Mount Pleasant was a part of St. Antony’s Parish, Coonoor. This was the first church constructed after the creation of the new diocese of Ootacamund. The consecration of the church took place on 16.10.1960. It was canonically erected into a new parish on 24.10.1960. In 1964 the bell towers were built and in 1966 the parish hall was constructed.
